Stake Out Bar & Grill Twist on National Bosses’ Day
October 16, 2023 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Tom Boley and Josh AlDabbagh Serving Drinks to Raise Money for Shriners Children’s Hospitals
On a day where bosses usually receive a card signed by all employes stuffed with a gift card, the owners of the historic Stake Out Bar & Grill will serve up something different on National Bosses Day and turn the tables (or, bar top rather). On Monday, October 16, 2023, owners Josh AlDabbagh and Thomas Boley (along with a little assistance by the general manager Jenell Archer) will pour drinks and pay out gaming jackpots from 7pm to 10pm. It sounds like a solid plan except for one more twist… none of the owners have ever tended bar before.
“When buying a bar, we figured we’d have to learn how to sling drinks sooner than later. I’m sure we can figure out how to make a Manhattan or a Long Island Iced Tea… or at least our version of it.”
Josh AlDabbagh
Not all of the cash collected during these three hours will go into the register. Stake Out has decided all tips earned and 25% of all sales will be donated to the Shriner’s International Hospital for Children.
Located only 450ft from UNLV, Stake Out Bar & Grill is the only true College Bar left on Maryland Pkwy. Originally opened in 1983, the Stake Out was famous for its Philly Cheesesteaks. When these 3 new owners bought the bar (in Oct of 2021) one of the things they decided to keep was the recipe for these famous Philly Cheesesteaks. Come down and support this local bar for a good cause on this National Bosses Day and have a famous Philly!
